On December 5, 2024, 59-year-old Marion Taite Jr., was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison for the Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child under the age of 14.
Taite sexually abused a female family member multiple times when she was 12-years-old. He told her that, in exchange for sexual favors, he would take care of her and her family.
The jury heard that two additional children were also Taite's victims.
The Fort Worth Police Department worked on this case. It was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys DJ Estes and Ross Vandekop. The DA investigator was Brad Gantt and the victim coordinator was Candice Burnett.
