Three Arrested for Capital Murder in Death of Dallas Man Found Near I-20 in Palo Pinto County

Three suspects are in custody following the discovery of a deceased male near the north access road of I-20 on December 16, 2024. Deputies and investigators from the Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Office, joined by members of the Texas Rangers, responded to the scene at approximately 9:00 a.m. after receiving a report of a possible dead body.

Upon arrival, authorities located the victim, later identified as 68-year-old Marvin Wayne Henry from Dallas County. Investigators determined that Henry had been the victim of a violent assault and suffered traumatic injuries. Evidence at the scene suggested that the crime did not occur in Palo Pinto County, but that the victim had been transported there and discarded.

Through further investigation, authorities confirmed that Henry's vehicle was missing. The vehicle was located later that evening in Cooke County, near Gainesville. Two suspects were quickly apprehended, and a third suspect was located the following day near Valley View, Texas.

The Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Office has issued Capital Murder warrants for the three suspects:

  • Natalie Gomez, 31, from Dallas County
  • Pascual Villaneda, 39, both from Dallas County
  • Ruperto Toscano, 44, from Mexico.

All three are currently in the custody of the Cooke County Sheriff's Office, awaiting transport to Palo Pinto County.

The case remains under active investigation, with the Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Office working closely with the Texas Rangers. Local law enforcement agencies, including the Texas Department of Public Safety, Border Patrol, and Cooke County Sheriff's Office, have all been praised for their swift actions in bringing the suspects into custody.

Anyone with additional information is urged to contact the Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Office.
