Fort Worth Police Seek Potential Victims in Elder Financial Exploitation Case

Cartaveion Holmon

FORT WORTH, Texas — Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying possible victims in an expanding financial exploitation case involving a 24-year-old suspect.

According to the Fort Worth Police Department, Cartaveion Demarcus Holmon, also known as “Tank,” was taken into custody April 22, 2026, and has been charged with two counts of exploitation of the elderly. His bond has been set at $200,000.

The investigation began as a stolen vehicle component recovery by the Tarrant Regional Auto Crimes Task Force but has since broadened into a case involving the suspected exploitation of elderly and vulnerable individuals.

Detectives believe Holmon may have used deceptive sales practices tied to residential solar panel services and vehicle transactions. Authorities say this may have included placing vehicles in victims’ names without their full knowledge or consent.

Investigators are urging anyone who has had contact with Holmon regarding solar services, vehicle purchases or financing arrangements and believes they may be a victim to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Cain with the Fort Worth Police Department at 817-392-4414.

The investigation remains ongoing.
