Dallas police are investigating the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Joseph Ortega, who was found dead at the scene early Saturday, December 21, 2024, in the 9000 block of Sovereign Row. The area is mostly industrial buildings. Officers responded to the call around 5:00 a.m. and determined Ortega had been shot by an unknown suspect. The Dallas Fire-Rescue team responded but pronounced Ortega deceased at the scene.
