On December 24, 2024, at approximately 2:53 p.m., Fort Worth Police, Fire Department, and MedStar EMS responded to a shooting in the 7500 block of Berrenda Drive in Far North Fort Worth, near Basswood Boulevard.
Emergency responders found three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. 17-year-old Jaqualin Houston was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other victims were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries.
Preliminary investigations indicate the shooting occurred during an attempted robbery in which both victims and suspects were struck by gunfire.
No arrests have been made, and detectives continue to investigate the incident.
