Fort Worth Felon Sentenced to 20 Years on Weapon Charge; Also Linked to 2021 Murder

Quincey Parker

The Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office announced that a jury found 48-year-old Quincey Parker guilty of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, sentencing him to 20 years in prison.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Page Simpson and Jeanne Truglio, with DA Investigator Mike McGuire assisting.

Fort Worth police discovered Parker in possession of a firearm while executing a murder arrest warrant. He was wanted for his involvement in the February 2021 beating death of 24-year-old Jordan Harris and for violating parole.

According to court records, Parker and Harris’ girlfriend, Mia Rhodes, beat Harris to death with a bat while Parker choked him. Harris had previously been arrested for assaulting Rhodes.

Following Harris' murder, his cousin shot Rhodes multiple times in the head at an intersection near DFW Airport, killing her in an act of revenge.

Parker was on parole for a 1997 murder, for which he was sentenced to 40 years but released on parole in March 2018.
