The Irving Police Department remained active and dedicated during the latest winter storm, responding to over 200 calls within 48 hours. Among the cases were 12 major accidents, 40 minor accidents, and 28 noise complaints. Officers also responded to 37 domestic violence calls and 20 traffic hazards.
In addition, 14 traffic complaints, 84 traffic stops, and 33 citizen assists were handled. The department addressed 7 DWI complaints during this period. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported, and officers were able to stay safe while continuing their vital work in the community.
