A 46-year-old man who raped a 14-year-old girl while his friend filmed the assault was sentenced Wednesday to 20 years in federal prison, announced U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Leigha Simonton.
Lukumond Adebola Olatunji and his coconspirator, Vincent Jerome Thompson, were indicted in January 2022 on charges related to the sexual assault and exploitation of the minor.
According to plea papers, on October 23, 2021, Olatunji and Thompson offered a 14-year-old girl a ride home. They then drove to an alleyway where Olatunji sexually assaulted her in the backseat of the car while Thompson recorded the assault on his cell phone.
The pair then took the child to a nearby motel, where both men continued to sexually assault her.
Despite the child's repeated pleas to stop, the men continued their assault.
Both Olatunji and Thompson pleaded guilty to their respective charges. Olatunji pleaded guilty to kidnapping a minor, and Thompson pleaded guilty to production of child pornography and aiding and abetting.
Both men were sentenced to 240 months (20 years) in federal prison and ordered to register as sex offenders.
This case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigation’s Dallas Field Office and the Dallas Police Department.
