The Lewisville Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in solving the cold case of the fatal shooting of Stanford Bledsoe, a 7-Eleven clerk killed during a robbery attempt on April 20, 2020.

At approximately 1:58 a.m., Stanford was working the overnight shift at the 7-Eleven located at 900 Valley Ridge Boulevard in Lewisville, Texas. During a brief break, he locked the doors behind him for safety. However, when he returned to the store, security cameras captured him being forced toward the front doors by two unknown suspects. Despite being outnumbered, Stanford fought back, delaying the attackers from entering the store. In the struggle, he broke free and ran toward the gas pumps, but both suspects opened fire, striking him multiple times.
Stanford collapsed near the pumps and was able to call 911, providing critical information before succumbing to his injuries.
Surveillance footage captured images of the suspects, with one wearing a distinctive black hoodie featuring the "Blowin' My Top" SpongeBob SquarePants logo on the back.
The Lewisville Police Department urges anyone with information on the case to come forward. A reward of up to $10,000 may be offered for tips that lead to an arrest. Tips can be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-388-TIPS (8477).
