On Saturday, January 25, 2025, at approximately 2:55 PM, Saginaw Police officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Union Drive in response to a disturbance involving an individual who had reportedly threatened to harm himself.
Officers located the subject on Grand Central Parkway at approximately 4:10 PM. Upon contact, the individual fled on foot, ultimately scaling a concrete security fence and jumped into power supply terminal in the 1100 block of Grand Central Parkway. The subject was subsequently electrocuted.
Officers quickly extinguished the fire and summoned medical assistance. The individual was airlifted to Parkland Hospital for treatment of severe burns. His current condition is unknown.
