On January 24, 2025, at approximately 11:05 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 1400 block of Main Street. Officers arrived to find 39-year-old Anthony Egeonu suffering from gunshot wounds. The preliminary investigation revealed that he had been shot by an unknown suspect.
Dallas Fire-Rescue transported Egeonu to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Two juvenile suspects were taken into custody in connection with the shooting. Due to their age, their names will not be released.
This investigation remains ongoing, and the case is being documented under case number 010993-2025.
