On Sunday, January 26, 2025, at approximately 7:35 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 4300 block of W. Camp Wisdom Road, situated between S. Cockrell Hill Rd and S. Westmoreland Rd in the Redbird area. Upon arrival, officers discovered 27-year-old DeElvin Smith suffering from gunshot wounds. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, with the case documented under number 011835-2025.
