French Company Opens New U.S. Headquarters in Fort Worth with $2 Million Investment

France-based Fonroche Lighting, a leader in solar-powered lighting solutions, officially opened its new U.S. headquarters in Fort Worth on January 22, 2025. The 20,088-square-foot facility, located within the Campus Industrial Park at 2224 S.E. Loop 820, was designed and built by local developer Empire Holdings.

The grand opening event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Fort Worth Mayor Pro Tem Gyna Bivens, representatives from the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership, and executives from Fonroche Lighting and Empire Holdings.

Fonroche, founded in 2011 in Agen, France, is a global leader in autonomous solar streetlights. The company expanded to the U.S. in 2019, opening a headquarters in Boston, and later relocating to Fort Worth in 2023 after a nationwide evaluation. The new facility houses Fonroche’s engineering, sales, and production teams.

The state-of-the-art facility offers a combination of Class-A office space and specialized industrial features, including cargo docks, oversized automatic overhead doors, and high-efficiency storage areas. It also features advanced fiber-optic infrastructure, LED lighting, and a sustainable landscape design.

Fonroche’s new headquarters will support the company’s growing presence in the U.S. market, where its solar-powered streetlights are installed in over 1,000 municipalities across 43 states. The company’s solar-powered solutions provide cost-effective, maintenance-free lighting without the need for grid connections, offering substantial energy savings and reducing carbon emissions.

The move to Fort Worth underscores the city’s appeal as a central location for national and international companies. Fonroche plans to continue expanding its operations in the U.S. market, aiming to lead the solar-powered lighting industry nationwide.
