ARLINGTON, TX — Two men believed to be behind a string of convenience store burglaries across North Texas were arrested on July 9, 2025, following a joint undercover operation between the Arlington and Grapevine Police Departments.
Perry Lee Busby was taken into custody by Arlington Police and charged with three counts of Burglary of a Building related to incidents in Arlington. He also faces two additional counts of Burglary of a Building filed by the Grapevine Police Department.
Anthony Clark Johnson was arrested the same day and faces identical charges: three counts of Burglary of a Building in Arlington and two counts in Grapevine.
Investigators say the two men used a sledgehammer to smash glass doors of convenience stores, stealing cigarettes and cash. Their arrest came after detectives conducted surveillance and caught them committing another burglary in Arlington.
Both suspects were booked into the Arlington City Jail. Later they were transferred to the Tarrant County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
