The Hood County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide that occurred in the Montego Bay subdivision in Decordova.
Deputies responded to the 3000 block of Gerry Dr. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, where they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite medical intervention, he was later pronounced deceased at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
Investigators determined the man was the victim of a homicide and identified multiple persons of interest. Two suspects have been taken into custody on Capital Murder charges and are currently being held at the Johnson County Jail. Authorities expect additional arrests but confirmed there is no active threat to the community.
The case has been turned over to the Texas Rangers Division of the Department of Public Safety for further investigation.
