Seven Irving ISD Teams Advance to 2025 Lone Star Finals for Destination Imagination

Spectacular Spectacles, Singley Academy

Seven Destination Imagination teams from Irving ISD have advanced to the 2025 Lone Star Finals, set to take place on March 29 at the University of Texas at Arlington. Two of these teams also qualified in the Extreme Challenge category.

Advancing Teams:

Challenge A: Technical Challenge

  • University Level
    • 1st Place: Spectacular Spectacles, Singley Academy

Challenge C: Fine Arts Challenge

  • Secondary Level
    • 1st Place: Chris P. Bacon, Singley Academy

Challenge D: Improv Challenge

  • Middle Level
    • 1st Place: Lucky Charms, Lamar Middle School
  • Secondary Level
    • 1st Place: The DI-Rectors, Singley Academy
  • University Level
    • 1st Place: Baddies at Law, Singley Academy

Challenge E: Engineering Challenge

  • Elementary Level
    • 1st Place: Team STEAP, Stipes Elementary School

Challenge PO: Service Learning Challenge

  • Secondary Level
    • 1st Place: Bold Beautiful Leaders, Singley Academy

Extreme Challenge Category:

  • Secondary Level
    • 2nd Place: Baddies at Law, Singley Academy
    • 3rd Place: The DI-Rectors, Singley Academy

In addition to the team achievements, three students were awarded the Mid-Cities Creativity Impact Scholarship, each receiving $1,000, while one student earned an honorable mention with a $500 scholarship.

The advancing teams will compete at the Lone Star Finals for a chance to qualify for the Global Finals.
