False Bomb and Shooting Reports Prompt Evacuation of Old Union Elementary in Southlake

On Friday, May 2, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Southlake Police responded to a reported bomb threat at Old Union Elementary School, located at 1050 S. Carroll Avenue. Shortly afterward, the NETCOM Dispatch Center received a separate call reporting shots fired at the same location.

The School Resource Officer already on scene, along with additional responding officers, immediately searched the campus for any active threats. Officers coordinated with Carroll Independent School District (CISD) staff to evacuate all students and personnel to the CISD Administration Building at 2400 N. Carroll Avenue, where reunification with parents was conducted.

Authorities confirmed that no threats were found on or near the school campus, and there is no evidence of danger to other CISD schools. The incident remains under investigation as law enforcement works to determine the source of the false reports.
