Irving Warns Residents of Fake Social Media Posts Claiming Toxic Water and Settlement Payouts

The City of Irving has issued a public warning to residents regarding false information being circulated on social media. The posts falsely claim that Irving’s water supply contains toxic chemicals and urge users to click on suspicious links or submit personal information in exchange for a supposed cash settlement.

City officials confirm that Irving’s water supply is safe and continues to meet all state and federal safety standards. The most recent Water Quality Report is available to the public online.

Residents are reminded to avoid clicking on unverified links and to never share personal information with suspicious or unknown sources.
