On Tuesday, May 20, the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office announced that 28-year-old Amanda Marie Ruth Williams pled guilty to burglary of a habitation with intent to commit a felony and was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
The charges stem from an incident on October 14, 2024, when Williams entered an apartment in Fort Worth belonging to a man she knew. She used his keys to set off his car alarm, luring him outside, then locked him out of the apartment. While inside, Williams attacked a woman with a knife, chasing her through the apartment and stabbing her eight times.
The man called 911, and Fort Worth Police arrived and arrested Williams at the scene without further incident. The case was prosecuted by Gill Clements.
