The Nimitz High School NJROTC Robotics Team, 77711P, showcased exceptional skill and teamwork at the VEX Robotics JROTC National Championship, held from May 6 to May 14, 2025, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. The team placed 22nd out of 192 teams in the Skills Solo Contest and advanced to the semifinals of the main tournament, securing a spot among the Top 16 JROTC teams in the nation.
The four-member team, guided by Computer Science teacher Phillip Hunt and Engineering teacher Christopher Moore, delivered impressive performances throughout the competition. Their strong showing in the main tournament, with a record of 7-2-1, highlighted their technical excellence and collaborative efforts.
