On May 24, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Dallas police officers responded to a shooting call in the 6200 block of East Grand Avenue in East Dallas.
Upon arrival, officers discovered 36-year-old Jose Melecio Martinez suffering from a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel responded, but Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the investigation, 23-year-old Angie Lopez was arrested and transported to the Lew Sterrett Jail. She is charged with Murder and her bond was set at $1 million.
