UPDATE: On June 16, 2025, Frederick Wilkins, 27, was arrested by the Dallas Police Department in connection with this case. He was charged with Aggravated Robbery and Murder and placed in the Dallas County Jail. His bond was set at $750,000.

Dallas Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Wednesday, June 12, 2025, in the 10200 block of Budtime Lane in the Pleasant Grove area.
At approximately 5:10 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call at the location. The preliminary investigation determined that 28-year-old Alejandro Lopez had sustained gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) responded to the scene and transported Lopez to a local hospital, where he died.
