Update: The victim was identified as 73-year-old Sue Tarleton. The suspect has been located. 74-year-old Owen Smith was arrested and charged with Murder.

On Friday morning, June 13, 2025, at approximately 10:15 am, Dallas Police officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of East Shore Circle in Pleasant Grove after a shooting was reported.
The preliminary investigation determined that a known suspect shot the victim. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene, where the victim succumbed to their injuries and died.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Dallas County Jail on Friday afternoon. His bond has been set at $2 million. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
