Homeowners in Irving have opportunities to lower their property tax burden through the City's Homestead Exemption and the Over 65/Disabled Persons Exemption. Both exemptions reduce a property's taxable value, thereby decreasing the amount of taxes owed on a primary residence. According to the Dallas Central Appraisal District, City Tax Exemptions saved Irving property owners $109,343,188 in 2024.
