Dustin Eric Rubio, a 37-year-old Cleburne resident, was sentenced on June 26, 2025, to a staggering total of 733 years in prison after being convicted on multiple felony counts related to child sexual abuse. All sentences are to be served consecutively.
Rubio was found guilty of one count of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, four counts of Sexual Assault of a Child – Prohibited Sexual Conduct, one count of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, one count of Tampering with a Witness, three counts of Prohibited Sexual Conduct, and one count of Tampering with Physical Evidence.
The extensive investigation was spearheaded by Cleburne Police Department Detectives, whose dedication and attention to detail were crucial in building the case. The prosecution was further strengthened by both digital and biological evidence, as well as the courageous testimony of the victim.
