IRVING, TX – Irving Police officers arrested Sandra Johnson Randall, 62, a daycare teacher at The Sloan School, on Thursday, July 24, 2025, for Injury to a Child. She is accused of harming a 4-year-old boy under her care.
The investigation began on July 11, when the child's mother contacted Irving Police and reported physical and mental abuse, taking her son to the Irving Family Advocacy Center. According to the arrest report, investigators interviewed the boy, who stated that Randall had hurt him by grabbing and scratching his face.
On July 23, detectives obtained surveillance footage from The Sloan School, located at 3131 N. O'Connor Road in North Irving. The footage reportedly shows Randall aggressively grabbing the boy's face on July 20. The following day, the boy's mother provided police with a photo of his face showing a scratch.
As a result of the evidence, Randall was taken into custody and booked into the Irving Jail at 12:18 p.m.
The Sloan School is a private Christian school which offers Preschool, Private Elementary School, After School and Summer programs for children 2 years old through 5th grade.
It is currently unknown if Randall is still employed at the school. Irving Weekly has reached out to the The Sloan School for comment. We will update the story if and when we receive a response.
