Ferris Chosen as Filming Location for Yellowstone Spinoff

FERRIS, Texas — Paramount Pictures has selected the City of Ferris as a primary filming location for its upcoming Yellowstone spinoff, Rio Palo. The production will feature multiple locations throughout the city, including one that will serve as the central home of the show’s lead characters.

City officials confirmed that the production team has worked closely with local government, law enforcement, and regional partners to coordinate permits, insurance, and security in accordance with city policies.

“This is a proud and fun moment for Ferris,” said City Manager Brooks Williams. “Ferris helped build Texas and the nation. Ferris bricks are in streets, schools, and courthouses across this country. But that is just part of who we are. Ferris has never settled for being one thing. This city has evolved, adapted, and grown. Paramount’s decision to film here is one more chapter in that story. It affirms that a place with roots can still move forward, that a city shaped by history can also shape what comes next. We are proud of what this means for Ferris and proud to show others what we already know. We are just getting started.”

The production, coordinated by King Street Productions LLC, is expected to bring direct investment into the local economy and promote Ferris to a national audience. Local businesses and service providers are engaged in the project, which city leaders say showcases Ferris as a viable location for future productions.

For safety, all production areas will remain closed to unauthorized visitors. Updates on any public engagement opportunities will be released through official City of Ferris channels.
