On Monday, September 15, in the 271st District Court, visiting Judge Vicky Isaacks sentenced Jeffrey Allen Short, a resident of Wise County, to life in prison for Continuous Sexual Assault of a Child, along with multiple other felony convictions.
Authorities expressed gratitude to the team of investigators from Bridgeport and Decatur Police Departments, prosecutors from the Wise County District Attorney’s Office, and victim advocates from Children’s Advocacy for North Texas for their tireless work in the case. Their efforts ensured that the voices of the victims were heard and believed.
“This sentence speaks volumes when good people stand strong for crime victims,” said Wise County Chief Stanford. “I’m very proud of the relationship we have with our law enforcement partners. Wise County is safer today because of their exceptional work on these cases.”
