FORT WORTH, TX – Demarcus Cummings, 37, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office announced.
The conviction stems from a February 13, 2025, search warrant executed by Fort Worth narcotics officers at a motel room registered to Cummings. Authorities recovered fentanyl pills, baggies of cocaine, and two loaded firearms during the search.
The court also noted that Cummings is a habitual offender with prior convictions for unlawful possession of a firearm and assault family violence. The case was prosecuted by the Narcotics Unit.
