An Irving man was arrested early Sunday morning after stabbing his girlfriend multiple times and chasing her with a butcher knife at an apartment complex in North Irving.
At around 5:32 a.m. on October 26, 2025, Irving Police officers responded to an unknown call for police at the MAA Valley Ranch Apartments in the 8000 block of N. MacArthur Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found the victim with multiple stab wounds and immediately took the suspect, 39-year-old Adonis Barthelemy-Sanchez, into custody.
Investigators say Barthelemy-Sanchez, who had been in a relationship with the victim for three years, came home visibly under the influence and accused her of seeing other people. When she attempted to leave, he grabbed a pair of scissors from the kitchen and stabbed her in the right hand, torso, and foot. He then armed himself with a large butcher knife with a 7.5-inch blade and chased her out of the apartment.
Officers quickly intervened, apprehending Barthelemy-Sanchez before further harm could occur. He was arrested and booked into the Irving Jail on a charge of Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a second-degree felony.
The victim was treated for her injuries, and the case remains under investigation.
