Frisco police arrested a 30-year-old man Tuesday morning after responding to a welfare concern that escalated into a gunfire incident inside a residential neighborhood.
Officers were called just before 5:40 a.m. to a home in the 2400 block of Haft River Road. When they arrived, they heard gunshots coming from inside the residence. Police immediately set up a perimeter around the home, evacuated several nearby houses outside the inner perimeter, and secured the area to protect residents.
During the response, officers observed a second-story window shatter. A man later identified as Myles Jack climbed out of the window and fell to the ground below. He was taken into custody at approximately 7:12 a.m. and transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries related to the fall.
Police conducted a search of the home and confirmed that no other individuals were inside the residence. No additional injuries were reported.
Jack has been charged with Deadly Conduct for the discharge of a firearm, a third-degree felony, and Discharge of a Firearm in Certain Municipalities, a Class A misdemeanor. The charges were filed with the Denton County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities said no further information will be released at this time.
