MANSFIELD, TX – Tarrant County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting Sunday night that left one man dead and another injured.
At approximately 11:45 p.m. on December 28, 2025, deputies were dispatched to the 7800 block of Townsend Road. Upon arrival, they found two men with gunshot wounds—one shot in the leg and another in the foot.
Both victims were transported to area hospitals. The man shot in the foot was treated and released, while 39-year-old Johnathan Calvin Isbell, shot in the leg, later died at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center.
Preliminary information suggests the shooting was accidental. The investigation is ongoing as deputies work to determine the circumstances that led to the incident.
