DALLAS, TX - Dallas police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead after he was driven to a local hospital over the weekend.
On Sunday, January 18, 2026, officers with the Dallas Police Department responded to a hospital after a man suffering from a gunshot wound arrived in a private vehicle. Investigators determined that the victim, 46-year-old Jesse Cisneros, had been shot earlier that afternoon around 2:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of Hammerly Drive.
Despite medical treatment, Cisneros succumbed to his injuries the following day, on Monday, January 19th.
Detectives say the suspect remains unknown, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation. The case is being handled under Dallas Police case number 008770-2026.
