Four Arrested in Fatal Southeast Dallas Shooting That Killed 21-Year-Old Man

DALLAS, Texas - In the early morning hours of Thursday, January 29, 2026, officers with the Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting call in the 7200 block of Great Trinity Forest Way in southeast Dallas.

When officers arrived at approximately 12:25 a.m., they found 21-year-old Christian Campbell inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Campbell was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following a preliminary investigation, four suspects were taken into custody in connection with the shooting. Police identified them as 17-year-old Tommy Smith, 19-year-old Dataryven McGee, 19-year-old Deleon Reese, and 19-year-old Davien Mosley. All four were arrested, transported to the Dallas County Jail, and charged with murder.  Reese had additional charges: Evading Arrest Detention on Foot, Unlawful Carrying Weapon and Violation of Bond/Protective Order.  

The investigation remains ongoing and is documented under case number 013135-2026.
