LEWISVILLE, TX — Students at Founders Classical Academy were evacuated Friday morning, February 6, after a reported bomb threat at the campus in the 1000 block of Bellaire Boulevard, according to the Lewisville Police Department.
Shortly after 8:00 a.m., Lewisville Police and Lewisville Fire responded to the school. Students were moved to a nearby church while officers, firefighters, and school officials conducted a coordinated safety check of the campus.
Authorities said no suspicious devices or hazards were found. An all-clear was issued shortly after 9:00 a.m., and students returned to class. Police will remain on campus as a precautionary measure.
Lewisville Police said they are aware that other schools in different cities have received similar threats. At this time, officials do not have confirmed information about how many schools were affected, when the threats were received, or how they were delivered.
The department said it will use internal investigative resources, coordinate with other jurisdictions, and work with federal law enforcement partners as the investigation continues.
