Man Sentenced to 40 Years for Killing Drug Dealer During Planned Robbery in Euless

Reynaldo Marcos Silva

FORT WORTH, Texas — A 21-year-old man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to murder in the fatal shooting of a Bedford man during a drug transaction, authorities said.

Reynaldo Marcos Silva entered a guilty plea to murder in Tarrant County court and was sentenced for the December 10, 2024 killing of Alexander Antonio Borras, 22, at an apartment complex in Euless.

Investigators determined Silva went to the apartment complex intending to purchase drugs from Borras. During the encounter, Silva shot and killed the victim.

Euless Police detectives later uncovered social media messages showing Silva had discussed plans with friends to rob Borras prior to the meeting. After the shooting, Silva sent additional messages stating he needed to leave for Mexico.

Assistant District Attorney Madeline Jones credited the investigative work of Euless Police Detective Justin Coffee in developing the case that led to the conviction.

Silva will serve a 40-year prison sentence for the murder.
