DALLAS — Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday night in southern Dallas.
On February 25, 2026, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Dallas Police officers responded to a reported shooting in the 1200 block of Hidden Valley Drive (in the University Hills Blvd/E. Camp Wisdom Rd. area).
According to preliminary information, 26-year-old Malachi Palmer was found suffering from a gunshot wound at the location. Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel arrived and began transporting Palmer to a local hospital for emergency treatment.
During transport, Palmer succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Investigators say the shooting was carried out by an unknown suspect or suspects. No arrests have been announced at this time.
The case remains under active investigation under case number 027150-2026.
