Juvenile Arrested in Active Shooter Investigation From January After Shots Fired Into Home

Dallas Police have arrested a juvenile suspect following an active shooter investigation involving gunfire directed at an occupied residence earlier this year.

On Friday, January 16, 2026, at approximately 11:05 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 400 block of Martinique Avenue after receiving reports of a disturbance involving an active shooter in a vehicle, documented under Incident #26-0092160.

According to investigators, an unknown suspect fired multiple rounds into a home occupied by six individuals at the time of the shooting. No injuries were reported.

The department’s Gang Unit assumed the lead in the investigation and worked to identify the suspect. Detectives ultimately identified a juvenile believed to be responsible for the shooting.

As a result of the investigation, authorities secured five arrest warrants charging the juvenile with Deadly Conduct, a third-degree felony. The suspect was taken into custody without incident on January 30, 2026, just fourteen days after the shooting.

Officials said the swift arrest highlights ongoing efforts to quickly identify and apprehend individuals involved in violent crimes.
