64-Year-Old Man Sentenced to Eight Life Sentences in Fort Worth for Aggravated Sexual Assault of Child Over 11 Years

Defendant: Pablo Garcia

Fort Worth, TX – A Tarrant County jury has convicted Pablo Javier Garcia, 64, of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, Sexual Performance by a Child, and Indecency with a Child, sentencing him to eight consecutive life sentences in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

The verdict and punishment were announced on Monday, March 2, 2026, by the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office following a trial in the 372nd District Court, presided over by Judge Julie Lugo. The trial began on February 23, 2026.

According to court evidence, on October 18, 2023, the victim, a boy, reported to authorities that Garcia had sexually assaulted him repeatedly from the time he was 4 years old until he was 15. In one instance, when the child refused, Garcia strangled him before proceeding with the assault. The boy further disclosed that Garcia took photographs and videos of the abuse and threatened to show the images to everyone if he ever told anyone.

During the trial, prosecutors presented evidence that Garcia had also sexually assaulted two other children over the years, establishing a long pattern of predatory behavior.

The case was investigated by the Fort Worth Police Department, leading to Garcia’s arrest and indictment. It was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Katherine Messina and David Tamez, with support from DA Investigator Brian Johnson and Victim Coordinator Candace Burnett.
