DALLAS, Texas - Dallas police are investigating a late-night shooting that left one man dead and a teenager injured Saturday night.
On March 7, 2026, at approximately 10:29 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 3400 block of Great Trinity Forest Way.
According to the preliminary investigation, officers arrived and found 27-year-old Devodrick Lamont Franklin lying in a doorway with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and transported Franklin to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
A second victim, a 16-year-old male, transported himself to a local hospital with serious injuries. Authorities say the teen is currently in stable condition.
No arrests have been made at this time.
