Killeen-Area Man Charged with Aggravated Assault in Violent Domestic Attack

Bell County, TX — A Killeen-area man remains behind bars after investigators say a domestic violence incident led to multiple felony charges.

The Bell County Sheriff’s Office responded at approximately 2:50 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, to a report of a violent domestic assault in the 200 block of Nettie Drive, just outside Killeen.

When deputies arrived, they located the victim at a neighboring residence and immediately requested emergency medical assistance. The victim was transported to the emergency department at Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights for treatment.

The Bell County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division launched an investigation into the incident. Following the preliminary investigation, Justice of the Peace Cliff Coleman issued an arrest warrant for 21-year-old Ethan Ryan Brunson on a charge of assault causing bodily injury.

Brunson was taken into custody at his residence without incident and transported to the Bell County Jail.

As investigators continued gathering evidence, authorities determined additional charges were warranted. The case was presented to the Bell County District Attorney’s Office, which accepted charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon – family violence and assault causing bodily injury by impeding breath or circulation – family violence.

Brunson remains in custody at the Bell County Jail on a combined bond of $250,000.
