Three Arrested After Methamphetamine Seized in Bosque County Narcotics Investigation

BOSQUE COUNTY, Texas, March 11, 2026 — Three people were arrested after investigators with the Bosque County Sheriff’s Office executed multiple search warrants in Walnut Springs as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Investigators with the sheriff’s office Narcotics Division, assisted by deputies, served one search warrant in the 100 block of East Norway Street. During the search of the residence, authorities recovered suspected illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia, including approximately 9.27 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales and other items commonly associated with narcotics distribution.

Following the search, Melanie Ann Evans, 43, of Meridian, was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine 4 to 200 grams, a first degree felony.

Daisy Smart Quintana, 27, of Dallas, was also arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine 4 to 200 grams, a second degree felony, and Tampering with Physical Evidence, a third degree felony.

Investigators also executed a separate search warrant in the 100 block of West Norway Street in Walnut Springs. During that search, authorities recovered approximately 11.74 grams of methamphetamine along with digital scales and packaging materials commonly used in narcotics distribution.

Salvador Chavez Jr., 40, of Walnut Springs, was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine 4 to 200 grams, a first degree felony.

The Bosque County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains ongoing and additional arrests are possible. Officials encourage anyone with information about narcotics activity in Bosque County to contact the sheriff’s office.
