LEWISVILLE, Texas — Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run after a pedestrian was struck and killed early Saturday morning in Lewisville.
On March 14, 2026, Lewisville Police and Fire/EMS responded to a report of an unconscious person along the northbound I-35E frontage road near the Sam Rayburn Tollway.
During the initial investigation, officers determined that a pedestrian walking along the frontage road had been struck by a vehicle. The victim died from their injuries at the scene.
Police say the driver fled the area after the collision.
Several lanes of the frontage road were closed for several hours while officers processed the scene and conducted their investigation.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next-of-kin have been notified.
The crash remains under investigation
