CELINA, Texas - A large party fueled by social media drew hundreds of teens and young adults to a Celina neighborhood Saturday night, prompting a significant police response.
Officers were called on March 21, 2026, to the 800 block of Choate Parkway after reports of a large gathering at a residence. Authorities said the event quickly grew after being advertised online, attracting an estimated 500 to 800 attendees.
Celina Police responded and began proactive enforcement to maintain safety for both those at the party and nearby residents.
During the initial response, one individual was arrested for driving under the influence as a minor. Another person was taken into custody on an active aggravated assault warrant out of Dallas County.
As the crowd began to disperse, officers heard multiple gunshots in the area. Police immediately entered the residence and conducted a thorough search but did not locate any victims or injuries related to the gunfire.
Officials emphasized the dangers associated with large, unsupervised gatherings, especially those organized through social media and involving potential underage drinking or substance use.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone with information about criminal activity related to the event is asked to contact the Celina Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit at 972-382-2121.
