BOSQUE COUNTY, Texas - Two individuals were rescued Saturday evening after being injured while cliff jumping in Bosque County.
At approximately 5:03 p.m. on March 21, 2026, the Bosque County Sheriff’s Office received a report of two people stranded on a rock ledge after suffering injuries and being unable to safely exit the area.
Deputies responded along with multiple emergency agencies and quickly determined that a coordinated rescue operation was necessary due to the terrain and the victims’ condition.
Rescue crews secured both individuals onto backboards and carefully lowered them from the ledge to boats waiting below.
They were then transported by boat to a nearby landing zone, where they were transferred to Air Evac and flown for further medical treatment.
Officials credited the success of the operation to the coordinated efforts of multiple agencies, including Texas Parks and Wildlife, North Bosque EMS, Air Evac, and several volunteer fire departments.
