TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — A Tarrant County jury has found a man guilty of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in a case involving threats against a woman and her child, prosecutors announced.
On March 27, 2026, 37-year-old Germaine Tucker was convicted and sentenced to 40 years in prison.
The charges stem from a December 20, 2022 incident in which a woman reported Tucker accused her of stealing a necklace before repeatedly striking her in the face. Authorities said Tucker also threatened to kill the woman and her toddler during the assault.
The victim was able to escape and run to a nearby home for help. Her child was later safely recovered.
The case was prosecuted by Neal Maranto and Ashton Moore of the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office. The Fort Worth Police Department conducted the investigation.
