Eric Scarborough

DALLAS, Texas — The Dallas Police Department and the United States Marshals Service have launched a new fugitive apprehension initiative aimed at targeting violent offenders across the city.

The operation, called “Operation We Got You,” will run through May 8 and focuses on locating and arresting suspects wanted for violent crimes.

Officials said the initiative has already resulted in at least one arrest. Nineteen-year-old Eric Lampkin-Scarborough was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals’ North Texas Fugitive Task Force. He was wanted for insufficient bonds related to a felony prohibited weapon charge and a misdemeanor evading arrest or detention charge stemming from 2024.

During his arrest, officers recovered four firearms, including one reported stolen and another modified to fire automatically. Authorities also seized approximately 25.5 grams of fentanyl, 24 grams of crack cocaine, 3.9 grams of methamphetamine, and more than $1,900 in cash.

Police said the Dallas Police Fugitive Unit and the North Texas Fugitive Task Force are continuing efforts to locate additional suspects with violent felony warrants.

Anyone with information that could assist in locating wanted individuals is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 214-373-TIPS (8477). Tips that lead to an arrest and indictment in felony cases may be eligible for a cash reward.
