Woman Dies After Violent Stabbing Behind Mansfield Home, Suspect Charged With Murder

MANSFIELD, Texas - 

The Mansfield Police Department is investigating a deadly stabbing that occurred Saturday night at a residence in Tarrant County.

Police said officers responded around 10:51 p.m. May 23 to the 200 block of Morgan Road following reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers were told multiple individuals had been fighting behind the residence. Responding officers located two adult women and one adult man at the scene.

Investigators said a 50-year-old woman was suffering from multiple stab wounds. A 43-year-old man was not visibly injured, while a second 43-year-old woman had sustained injuries during the incident.

Officers immediately secured the scene and began providing lifesaving measures to the critically injured woman while requesting emergency medical assistance.

Paramedics with the Mansfield Fire Department transported both injured women to Methodist Mansfield Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities said the 50-year-old victim later died at the hospital at approximately 11:55 p.m.

Detectives and crime scene investigators responded to process the scene, interview witnesses, and collect evidence.

According to preliminary findings, the incident began as a verbal altercation involving the three individuals before escalating into a physical fight between the two women.

Investigators allege that during the confrontation, 43-year-old Jarishia Dantea Jackson used a knife, causing the fatal injuries.

Jackson was arrested and charged with murder under Texas Penal Code 19.02(c). Police said she was transported to the Mansfield Police Department Jail for booking after being released from the hospital.  

Jackson is a well-known real estate agent in the area.
