DALLAS, Texas — A Dallas police officer has been terminated following an internal disciplinary hearing stemming from his arrest in a family violence case.
The Dallas Police Department announced that Police Officer Armando Jaramillo was fired by Chief Daniel C. Comeaux during a disciplinary hearing held on June 25, 2026.
According to the department, Jaramillo was terminated for engaging in adverse conduct after he allegedly assaulted a family member and was arrested by the Royse City Police Department on a charge of Assault Causing Bodily Injury – Family Violence, a Class A misdemeanor.
The department also cited Jaramillo's involvement in a disturbance that resulted in a police response and his failure to notify his chain of command after being named in a protective order.
Jaramillo was arrested and booked into the Rockwall County Jail on Nov. 4, 2025.
He had served with the Dallas Police Department since March 2022 and was assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division at the time of his termination.
The department did not release additional details regarding the underlying incident.
