DALLAS, Texas - Dallas police are asking for the public's help as detectives investigate a South Dallas shooting that left one man dead and two others wounded early Sunday morning.
Officers responded at approximately 4:31 a.m. on Aug. 9 to a shooting call in the 2700 block of Exline Street.
The preliminary investigation determined that three people were shot at the location. All three victims were transported to area hospitals by private vehicle before officers arrived.
One of the victims, Trevaun Neal, 23, later died at the hospital. The conditions of the other two victims have not been released.
No Arrest in Homicide Investigation
Investigators have not identified or arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
The investigation remains active under case numbers 116282-2026, 116283-2026, and 116322-2026.
Man Arrested for Crossing Crime Scene
While officers were investigating the shooting, police said Douston Woods, 37, ignored crime scene tape and repeated commands from officers to stay out of the secured area.
Woods was arrested and charged with Interference with Public Duties, a Class B misdemeanor.
Police said his arrest is unrelated to the shooting itself.
